All dogs cause allergies. There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. Some dogs are better for people with allergies then others.

There’s no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. All dogs can cause allergies to flair up, it’s just some don’t do it as much as others. Best bet would be a poodle or a labradoodle (something with curly hair) they tend to be better for allergies.

Q&A: Can you bathe hypoallergenic dogs often?
Question by : Can you bathe hypoallergenic dogs often?
Me and my mom were just wondering if we could bathe my puppy whose a mix of a bichon and shih tzu because i just got him yesterday and hes quite a dirty kind of dog. Thanks(: 10 points best answerr.
sorry i didnt ask this clearly, i ment can we bathe him like once a week?
Best answer:
Answer by Julie
I would give him a bath immediately with a good quality dog shampoo. Thereafter only bath him when he is dirty, frequent bathing causes them to have very dry skin and a dull coat.

Plushka – Siberian Female Cat

Brown/golden classic tabby spayed female Siberian cat for adoption. Plushka is 1 1/2 years old and up to date on all her vaccines. Contact kaerikrags@verizon.net to interview to adopt Plushka.

www.petrescuebyjudy.com Black dogs and cats are the last to be adopted and the first to be euthanized. There is no real reason for this. For those of you who are against euthanasia, against the “catch and kill” cycle of some pounds, and against gassing shelters, please know that Judy has saved many dogs and cats from these situations. Many organizations have rescued animals from gassing shelters and transported animals directly to Judy’s rescue, who are then placed in the loving homes of her foster families, until adoptions are made. Judy’s contributions to the community have been profound, not only to the animals she has saved, but to the families that have adopted her animals, who have found their forever pet. Small, smart, hypoallergenic dogs?
Question by : Small, smart, hypoallergenic dogs?
I am looking for a smart, smaller, hypoallergenic puppy to add to our household, but I am uncertain about what type to add.
Currently, we have a husky/german shepard mix dog and 4 cats. LoL. The reason that we want another dog is that no matter how much my husband and I play with our current dog, he misses the companionship of another dog. The cats just act like snobs around him and he whines when they walk away from him. I can’t take him to a dog park on a regular bases, plus we have a HUGE backyard and plenty of walking paths around our house. Our next dog neighbour has a dog, but she’s an aggressive little bitch who bites my dog all the time and I don’t want my dog to associate with her that much.
My husky is very calm and gentle mannered, he thinks he’s a cat most of the time. I don’t want another big dog, one is enough, so we are thinking a smaller dog that is preferably hypoallergenic because I’m actually allergic to dogs [but sucking it up for our current dog] but there is no way that my allergies could handle having two dogs.
Anyway, I don’t mind if it is a mutt, I tend to rescue a lot of animals [all of our pets are from the SPCA except our dog who we found] so mutts don’t bother me. A “real” dog though would be fantastic because I would be interested in showing, but I also cannot convince my husband to pay that much money for a puppy.
So here is what I’m looking for:
-must be smart, no stupid dogs
-must be hypoallergenic
-must be smaller [like under 15 pounds]
-must be the type of dog that gets along with cats, children, other dogs type thing
Any thoughts on what type of puppy we should start looking into?
Thanks!!!!
~~
Could you imagine the odd couple of a toy poodle and german shepard/husky? Cute!!!!

Answer by Hannah
Get a toy poodle!!!
Also you should take a dog breed selector quiz to see what breed is best for you and your family. Google that.
Or rescue a dog from a shelter. Plently of small dogs. look on www.petfinder.com
