Should I get a dog from the breeder or a pound?
Question by : Should I get a dog from the breeder or a pound?
My mom is allergic to dogs so we want to get one that is hypoallergenic. We’ve been thinking about getting a havanese puppy and thats the one we will probably end up getting. If we get it from the breeder we will be sure of its characteristics (for the most part.) She thinks that getting it from the pound is just morally right. What should we do?

I would say get one from the pound. Breeders are usually very cruel to dogs in puppy mills so don’t buy buy anything from them.

Hypoallergenic Cats?
Question by § Roger Troy LunchBox jr §: Hypoallergenic Cats?
Hi, my mom has been allergic to cats for about 10 years now and she really loves cats. We heard about a hypoallergenic cat company. I wanted to know if anyone has one of these cats, and how they are. I also heard about a Siberian Cat that is also hypoallergenic. If anyone has a Siberian Cat i would like to know if they are actually non allergenic. Any information would be appreciated
Thanks for your time

Q&A: tips on training a labradoodle for bird hunting specifically waterfowl?
Question by : tips on training a labradoodle for bird hunting specifically waterfowl?
just got a labradoodle puppy 6 weeks old, the reason we got her was for my husband to have a hunting dog, he waterfowl hunts and other birds. we chose the labradoodle because she is hypoallergenic and his allergies are really bad, and so far she is not bothering him. we could really use some good tips on teaching her to hunt. we do not have property, we live in a suburban area so please keep that in mind. help.

mmm we are brid lovers here, not hunting them, wrong section, also why do you want to hunt defenceless birds, think about what you are doing.

How can I choose the right dog and convince my mom to get me a pup?
Question by samosa_family: How can I choose the right dog and convince my mom to get me a pup?
I have like one friend! I need a dog a loyal, loving, sweet, puppy! If my mom said yes my dad would be up for it. But sadly my mom and brother wouldn’t accept the dog in a million years! So if you can give me a way to convince my mom to let us get a hypoallergenic/ non shedding (my dad has allergies) dog and choose the right dog for us I’ll give you the best answer vote!

Hypoallergenic dogs with almost no dander? Havanese?
Question by Maggy: Hypoallergenic dogs with almost no dander? Havanese?
We want to get a dog. We have been thinking about a havanese, but our friends have a maltese and our mom is allergic to it and supposedly havaneses are related to malteses so we’d like to find out if they havaneses are actually hypoallergenic. We have also been thinking about miniature schnauzers, but our family prefers the havanese.
Any ideas? If you’re allergic can you tell me about ur experience with “hypoallergenic” dogs?

There is no such thing as a “hypoallergenic” dog. Some dogs affect allergic persons less (like Havanese, poodles, maltese, etc)…

royal canin hypoallergenic food for oriental cat?
Question by : royal canin hypoallergenic food for oriental cat?
My siamese cat got prescribed royal Canin hypoallergenic cat food. While i am definitely not thrilled with the idea of him eating that food, he gets so sick with other foods that i might have to keep him on it. But now this means i have to feed my oriental cat the same food, because separate feeding is impossible (they just refuse to eat if they don’t see each other.)
Does anyone have an option for keeping my oriental as healthy as possible? I am afraid this is not good for him and want to try to avoid damaging his health. He is a male, so i heard 7 pounds is a healthy weight for them, is that true?
PS: no all raw diet possible…they just wont touch meat, and the siamese is allergic to chicken, salmon and beef…

If you’re concerned, ask your vet about it. I don’t think it will hurt your other cat though. I have to give one of my dogs grain-free food and my other dog eats the same food because I feed them together.

Anyone who says differently is SCAMMING you. There’s an agency out there that says they’re breeding hypo allergenic cats and charging $ 2500 for them – BUT IT’S NEVER BEEN PROVEN that they are hypo allergenic.
