Siberians are magnificent cats. They also are known to be 90% hypoallergenic, and therefore may make it safer for those people allergic to cats.

I so agree with TakeCare about purchasing a kitten from a pet store. She is totally correct about the reasons that responsible and reputatable breeders set prices that are high.

Since no reputable or responsible breeder would sell their stock to petstores, they must know what they are doing!

Why not consider finding a Siberian Rescue group and get one through that venue. While there are generally adoption fees, they are generally affordable. You may have the opportunity to give a good home to a cat in need, while at the same time experiencing the joy of being owned by a Siberian.

Good luck in your quest, but do not purchase from a petstore. Let’s try and get these back yard breeders who breed indiscriminately to just make money out of business.
