Im askin this because they dont shed and they are hypoallergenic…also many people tell me they dont get the doggie smell like poodles and the Coton de Tulear….is it true???cuz i think all dogs have the doggie smell.!

Yeah they can smell like a dog, my grandma’s gets smelly about a week before he’s due at the groomers

I own a 2 Coton de tulear and My neighbor owns a Maltese and beleive they DONT smell AT ALL. You know only when they need their weekly baths. But keep in mind that maltese, and Cotons are hard and expensive dogs to take care of.
there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog that is just some scam made up by BYB and puppy mills. All dogs can get an oder to them.
All dogs smell like dogs. Shedding or non-shedding really doesn’t matter. Hounds seem to get the stinkiest the quickest, IME.
There is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. There are dogs who don’t shed their hair, but they still shed dander and have saliva, so people with dog allergies are still allergic to them.
Why would you think poodles are stinky? No breed is stinky if you groom and bathe them appropriately for their skin and coat type.
All dogs smell like dogs.
