Go to the breeder, handle the cats and see if you are allergic, there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic pet, it’s simply a sales gimmick.

You have to understand that people who are allergic to animals are allergic to the proteins in their saliva and urine… so fur really has nothing to do with it.Generally, the shorter the hair, the less likely you are to be allergic simply because the saliva that dries (dander) is less on an animal with shorter hair.

The proteins from the hair, saliva or urine of household pets cause an allergic reaction that attacks the eyes and the airways, like hay fever, and can result in asthmatic symptoms. It may also cause atopic dermatitis or a nettle rash.
It is often difficult to avoid the allergens that can come from other people’s pets or be transported by people who have been in contact with animals. School classes can be overloaded with pet allergens.
Most often the allergies are to cats or dogs, but rats, mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, pet birds, horses, cows or poultry can be involved.

There is a reason why responsible breeders charge a huge amount for pedigree cats. They need to adhere to the standard and follow all proper breeding procedures. In that way, the kittens will receive all the best care they could.

Even if you find a pet store that sells a Siberian, you can be sure that the kitten is not from a reputable breeder and does not carry a pedigree. Pet store gets their animals from irresponsible backyard breeder that care less about the welfare of the animal and their only agenda is to make money.

The best thing for you to do is to adopt a shelter cat. There are also many breed specific rescue groups out there who may have the pedigree you are looking for.

Just check online for those rescue groups, Help save a life, don’t support the backyard breeder. Don’t buy, rescue.
