Second time posting this question because I got a lot of bogus answers the first time! I am simply wanting to know how much a Cavachon puppy would cost. For everyone’s information – I am aware that this dog is a hybrid. I am aware that although it’s dubbed as “hypoallergenic” that it isn’t necessarily so. My little brother doesn’t have any reaction to this breed (yes, despite being a hybrid it is still a BREED) in general which is part of why I’m interested. I don’t care to hear any opinions on the dog or how I spend my money. I would simply like to know how much these dogs usually sell for. So, please only answer this question if you can provide an actual answer to my question. Thank you to all who provide real answers! 
To anyone saying this dog is not a hybrid, you are 100% incorrect. It IS a hybrid and it IS a breed. Please look up the definition before you reply in an ignorant manner. And for your information to all you ignorants, I would introduce the puppy to my brother to make sure he reacts okay to the pup. If I could have just ANY mutt, I’d get a shelter dog but he doesn’t react well to those. Don’t leave a response that makes you look rude and stupid.
By the way, the definition of a dog hybrid is a crossbreed of two or more different recognized breeds of dog.
@ There are No Vets on Y!A – it also says “variety or race”!!! We have had this breed before and my brother is fine with them! I already stated that I know about the “hypoallergenic” terminology. I have studied genetics and development and I KNOW that there are different kinds of HYBRIDS. This is a hybrid. And by the way, you can’t say it’s a crossbreed and not a hybrid. Hybrids are products of crossbreeding. You need to take a class or something . . .

Since all breeders, even so-called breeders of mutts, set their own prices, you’ll have to contact some to get an answer. We don’t decide what prices people charge.

You’re probably looking at spending a ridiculous amount of money for a mutt. I’d say around $ 1200-2000, unless you can find one in a rescue.
A breeder (Or pet store) you`re looking at hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
A shelter you`re looking at a hundred something the most.
Every price is different. You can even get one for “free“ or a really low price if you find one who`s owners can no longer take care of it (Either not enough money, room, or they`re moving.).
Every Dog is expensive in Vet care and in general care.
I think you should rescue one.
Even if you don`t want to rescue one, you can very much find one for sale, like how I got my Dogs.
You can expect to spend $ 1000 or more buying the dog from a breeder, and around $ 200 from a shelter or http://www.petfinder.com
this is a mutt. Its not a breed, nor is it a hybrid. They dont conform in any way, so while your brother may not have reacted to a few individuals, he certainly could react to another. There is no way to guarantee if it will have the cavalier coat or a bichon coat. That being said, mongrel pups are only worth about $ 50 if they have shots and worming.
It’s not a hybrid. It’s a mix. A hybrid is two separate species or subspecies (ie a donkey and a horse make a mule, etc) Contact a breeder. I don’t associate with breeders that make mutts and can’t imagine actually paying money for one.

Not a hybrid, not a breed, but a MUTT. I actually like to see idiots and their money parted, but since your choice affects the lives of these puppies, then I do care. That your little brother didn’t react to one or two of them, doesn’t mean he will be so lucky with the mutt you bring them home, since the puppy is just as likely to end up with the CKC coat as it is the bichon. What they go for is directly related to the stupidity of the buyer (you). In this case, I’d say about $ 2K
Lol, I think your IQ drops every time you touch your keyboard. I don’t know what your source of knowledge is, but a hybrid is a cross between genetically DISSIMILAR organisms. ALL domestic dogs are nearly genetically IDENTICAL. Please also link to the legitimate breed club that recognizes the ‘cavachon’

Its not a hybrid its a MUTT. A hybrid would imply that it is a cross between two different species. A Mule is a hybrid ( Donkey x Horse), a Zorse is a hybrid ( Zebra x horse), a Savannah is a hybrid (Cerval x Domestic cat) a “Cavachon” is a MUTT. It is NOT breed of dog and it is NOT recognized by any reputable kennel club and no reputable breeder will breed them. It is simply a mix between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Bichon Frise.
Just because your little brother didn’t have a reaction to one or two of those mutts DOES NOT mean he will not react to any other random bred mutt with a silly name.There is NO SUCH THING as a “hypoallergenic” dog. If your brother is allergic to the dog’s saliva then he will still be screwed. The “hypoallergenic” thing is just what BYBs and mills say to rope you into buying worthless mutts.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are plagued with many health problems when they are from “good” breeders. I could only imagine the issues a random bred puppy mill mutt will have. Do your research and get a Bichon Frise or a CKCS from a reputable breeder.
I can not in good conscious help you support some scumbag backyard breeder or puppy mill. I wouldn’t know how much one of those mutts costs because I am not naive enough to get scammed into buying one. If you want a mutt then go to a shelter or search http://www.petfinder.com/index.html or http://www.adoptapet.com/. There are plenty Cavalier and Bichon mixes in shelters. They usually run from $ 50-$ 200 in shelters.

Where in there does it say anything about a hybrid being a mix between two breeds of the same species together. It specifically says DIFFERENT SPECIES.
